American Worker Protection Bill

SYNOPSIS

Provides that only citizens or legal residents of the United States may be employed in performing State contracts.
An Act concerning State contracts. 

Be It Enacted by the General Assembly of the State of                  :

1. Every State contract for the performance of services shall contain provisions which specify that only citizens of the United States and legal resident aliens in the United States shall be employed in performance of services under the contract or any subcontract awarded under the contract.
2.  This act shall take effect immediately.

 STATEMENT

This bill is intended to ensure that State funds are used to employ people residing in the United States and to prevent the loss of jobs to foreign countries.
